We left Colorado and headed to the 80W. Our first night we spent at Terry Bison Ranch, outside of Cheyenne, WY. We have stayed here several times.
From here we continued on the 80W. Our next stop was at the Sweetwater Events Center in Rock Springs, WY. This will be the home of the 60th Escapade in June, 2020. We spent four days here, along with Jean and Duane who are the Directors of the Escapade. They were at the Event Center making final plans for the Escapade.
While in at the Event Center we attended this fundraiser for the local high school. The money is used to buy big items for the high school, and help kids pay their money for activities during the year. I bought an etched glass from one of the vendors and Scentsy wax from another. My sister, Doris, and her husband, Ford, came through Rock Springs and spent the night on their way from CO to WA. We met them for dinner at a local Mexican Restaurant.
The next day we went to Green River to their local Crafts in the Park, and walked around for the afternoon.
When we left Rock Springs we continued on the 80W to the 30W to Bear Lake State Park, in Utah, which is a beautiful big lake. We have passed this lake many times and this was the first time we were able to stay here. It is a great kayaking lake because there is no wind.
After 2 beautiful days at Bear Lake we continued on the 30W to 89 to 30 to 15 to 86 towards Pocatello. We stayed one night at Massacre Rocks State Park, in American Falls, ID. It had great views, but the roads and sites were pretty narrow. We had to disconnect in order to get into our site.
Next posting will be continuing through ID into OR and ending up in WA to visit Doris and Ford.
