After leaving The Ranch we drove to Albuquerque where we stayed at one of our favorite campgrounds, Enchanted Trails. We stay here every time we go through Albuquerque.
From Albuquerque we traveled on the 40 to Gallup, NM, where we stayed at the USA Campground. We have stayed here before and were in a different area than this visit. The area they put us in this time was kind of close to other rigs.
After leaving Gallup we head to Cortez, CO to visit with Cathy and Charlie, our neighbors at Jojoba. We stayed here two days and had two great evenings with them. They built a home here last year and it was beautiful. While there we stayed at LaMesa RV park.
Because of a huge rock slide just outside Dolores, we had to change our route and went through Dove Creek, the pinto bean capital. We headed to Ridgway State Park, in Ridgway, CO. It is a really nice park, with pull throughs and views of the lake. Although the water was down we still were able to see it. It rained while we were here so I’m sure the lake will be filling us soon
I will post again as we travel through Colorado.
