Waco

After leaving San Antonio we drove to Waco, Texas. We stayed at North Crest RV Park.  A very nice, quiet campground, with a super owner,  Mark.  He checked you in,  gave you a site where your satellite would work and even helped you park.  We liked it so much, we stayed 2 days.

I had always wanted to visit Magnolia Farms, the home of Chip and Joanna Gaines from the TV show.  So we got up early and drove into downtown Waco to see what it was like.  It is a very touristy property.  The stores reminded me of being in a Williams and Sonoma, and the prices were about the same.  The only thing we bought were 2 cupcakes, from the Bakery.  They were very good – mine was a lemon lavendar and John’s was crusted coconut.

From Waco, we drove directly to Motorhomes of Texas, in Nacogdouches, Texas, to have service done on our rig.  We got here Friday and are able to stay free.  Our service appointment is Monday and since Sunday is Easter, we got here early to get settled.
