Well, we are back in Colorado at the Elks in Westminster. We are awaiting our new house completion. It was originally to be ready to move into the middle of October but they are now saying the first part of November. I am hoping they will hurry it up a little.
Here is a recap of our expenses on our recent trip to Alaska.
We left Longmont, Colorado on June 4, and returned on August 22. We traveled 9,459 miles.
929.4754 gallons were used, with an average of 10.1 miles per gallon.
The money we spent on gas was $4096.87, with an average of $4.41 per gallon
On June 15 we crossed into Canada via Oroville (WA), and on August 7 we crossed back into Washington via Abbotsford (BC). We traveled 6,106 miles.
Throughout the trip we spent 79 nights on the road and spent $1,163.82. With the number of free camping and paid camping nights we spent an average of $14.73 a night.
The trip was long, but the costs were less than we had expected. However, the wear and tear on the rig was more than we expected.
This is the last post until we hit the road again!!!!!
