When we got back into Colorado we have been taking weekly trips up to Broomfield to see progress of our new house. Here are some pictures of the progress up to this Monday
Another exciting event in our lives is that we were called for a lot at Jojoba Escapees Park. We are so excited that we now have Site 923. Our good friend Mike S. went and took some pictures, which will follow. We plan on spending the winter there.
Next post will have more on the building of our house at Anthem Ranch by Toll Bros., in Broomfield, Colorado
We sold our house in Larkspur, CO, and it closed escrow on December 20, 2013. We got tired of taking care of 5 acres of huge trees, and worrying about fire, so we purchased property at Anthem Ranch by Toll Bros. in Broomfield, CO. When we got back into Colorado we had to go to Design Center to pick out everything for our new house, meet with the electrician, the low voltage person, and the builder. They broke ground on March 31, 2014 and expect it to be done in October.
While in Colorado we have been staying at the Elks Lodge in Westminster, CO. They offer full hookups and it is $450 a month. It is a very active lodge and have dinners several nights a week, lunches, and lots of RV spots.
We are planning to stay here until June 6 when we head to WA to meet up with John and Zoe Caires for our trip to Alaska.
After we left Mission Bay we headed to El Cajon, CA to meet with Rick of “Blown Out Spark Plug” website. He changed all our spark plugs, but luckily they were all in good shape. Rick and his brother run a business and we highly recommend them. They are Ford mechanics and specialize in the V10 engines as well as other models of vehicles.
From there we headed to Jojoba Hills Escapees Park in Aguanga, CA. We had reservations for 2 weeks and couldn’t wait since we had heard so much about the place. And everything we heard was true!!!! We ended putting our name on the wait list to get a site
We left Jojoba the end of February and headed back to Colorado. On the way we stayed at Ceballo Lake and got together with Ken Fears.
We stayed at Ceballo Lake for 2 days and then continued down the road toward Colorado.
